I experienced this when I first started Star Wars Zero Company, So my hired mercenaries were looking so boring and in strange clothes that I was getting angry just by looking at them.
To be honest, I thought it was such a cool Star Wars game, couldn't I dress them up in stylish clone armor or a badass alien outfit?
I saw that during the initial missions, my friends were roaming around in the same old clothes, and I felt really sad and frustrated.
So I was very disappointed. To be honest, I felt like my squad lacked any personality.
But one thing is absolutely true, I'm not one to give up. So I finished the prologue and carefully explored the base.
And when I found that secret customization console in The Den, I couldn't describe the joy and peace I felt. Let me tell you a secret.
I learned that we can change the race, voice, face, and outfits of the hired operators. So today, let me tell you my entire experience and the correct method of customization that I have learned.
Where To Customize: Finding The Secret Terminal
To be honest, you should not worry in the beginning, first of all complete the prologue and reach The Den (your home base).
Console Location: First of all, go near the Holo-Table and turn to the right side. So Then, you will see a small control console right next to the merchant named Neesh, with a clothing icon floating above it.
The Emotional Disappointment (Story Companions): It's absolutely true that when I saw that I couldn't change the faces of Trick or the story companions, to be honest.
I felt a little sad. Suddenly, I was happy that we could change their outfits again. One more thing, your player character (Hawks) and recruited mercenaries are completely customizable.
The Three Tabs: How I Redesigned My Squad
All you have to do is select the operator from the bottom of the customization screen, and then use these three tabs above:
Profile Tab: I have found that you can change your name, voice, mugshot, and race here. Recruited operators also have unique alien options like Rodian.
Weequay, and Ovissian. To be honest, in New Game Plus I can even make my main character Weequay.
Appearance Tab: This is my favorite because you can choose hairstyles, face presets, and alien traits (like Devaronian horns). Sadly, the options for droids are a bit limited, but it's still a lot of fun.
Outfits Tab: Headwear, tops, armwear, pants, and boots, The Big Realization (No Armor Stats): To be honest, I was initially confused as to whether wearing heavy clone armor would make my character take less damage?
I thought about it a lot, then realized that clothes have nothing to do with combat. They're just for fashion.
I was so happy to know that now I can give the coolest and stylish look to my friends without any fear.
